W. W. Norton & Company is seeking a Product Accessibility Specialist to join its Digital Products group. Independent since 1923, employee-owned, and proud to publish "books that live," Norton is dedicated to building inclusive learning experiences for higher education and high school. The Product Accessibility Specialist will work closely with everyone in the Digital Products group but will also have the opportunity to guide accessibility practices with Editorial, Production, Sales, and Marketing. This position will report to the Accessibility Lead based out of the New York City office, but please note that location is flexible throughout the United States.

Essential Job Responsibilities:
- Work closely with designers, developers, and testers to create accessible educational products.
- Function as an authority on accessibility, staying ahead of trends in disability advocacy, universal and inclusive design, and web standards.
- Evangelize accessible design by inviting discussion, leading workshops, and building empathy through practiced inclusivity.
- Review and document existing products for accessibility issues and regressions.
- Own and maintain the accessibility documentation for all products.
- Help define accessibility standards for both internal and third-party groups.
- Advise Editorial, Production, Sales, and Marketing about the ways Norton can make materials more accessible to all students and instructors.
- Support adopters of Norton’s products as the primary point of escalation for accessibility concerns.
