We are excited to add interns who bring diverse perspectives to
Norton. The ideal candidate is curious, hardworking, and eager to
learn more about the different facets of publishing. Here are some
skills and qualities we look for in candidates:
- You are a college junior, senior, or recent graduate based
in the New York Metropolitan area
- You enjoy content creation and are well-versed in
platform-specific social media and best practices
- You are an impeccable storyteller; you know how to capture
attention and maintain it
- You have your finger on the pulse of what’s trending in the
digital landscape, particularly regarding books and
publishing-related content
- You are able to create engaging content that aligns with Norton’s
brand, bring new ideas to the team, and thrive in a highly
collaborative environment
- You are an excellent researcher and written/verbal communicator
- You are detail-oriented, organized, and skilled at project management
- Ideally, you have studied communications, marketing, or mass media
and are hoping to gain valuable campaign management, publicity, and
marketing experience within the book publishing industry
Internship details
- Interns are paid $15 per hour, subject to applicable law, and work
a maximum of 20 hours weekly.
- Internship period is twelve weeks from 2/5/2024-4/26/2024.
- Our workday is 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Eastern Time; specific work
hours are flexible to accommodate an intern’s schedule.
- This internship will be in-person in our Manhattan offices
- Eligibility to work with W.W. Norton & Company in the US is required.
- W. W. Norton & Company ('Norton') strives to maintain a
